Kendriya Vidyalaya, Gachibowli was established in 1987, run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body formed by Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi.

The school is housed in a 'B' type building, with classes I to XII. The current enrollment of the school is 1113.

The schools boasts of three well-equipped laboratories, a large well-stocked library with several books and magazines and a full fledged Computer Department for the senior classes.
